Ciudad Rodrigo is located southwest of the province of Salamanca, whose capital is just over eighty kilometers away, a few kilometers from the Portuguese border to the west and also a few kilometers from the border of Cáceres to the south. The urban configuration of present-day Ciudad Rodrigo is due precisely to the crossroads where it is located, a frontier and therefore warlike situation.

Access:
Exit 325/332 on the A-62; follow the N-620a toward Salamanca. Next to the Repsol gas station (41 Av. de Portugal), there is a compacted dirt lot with marked spaces and lighting. Free overnight parking year-round.
