Las Tetas de Liérganes
PARAJEThe Tetas de Liérganes are two rocky elevations in the surroundings of Busampiro, also known as Cotillamón and Marimón, located next to the town of Liérganes, in Cantabria. It is a mountainous relief modest in height but very recognizable by its twin silhouette, with heights around 400 meters, visible from much of the valley and the town center. Its interest is mainly scenic and geological: they stand out as two nearby peaks, rounded and peculiar appearance, which dominate the landscape of the municipality and open views over the valley and, on clear days, towards the bay of Santander. In its surroundings there are slopes with Atlantic vegetation, where chestnut, oak and ash trees, which reinforces its attractiveness for walks and short hiking trails. The resource is of interest because it combines a very unique stamp with a relatively easy access from Liérganes, which makes it one of the most popular natural visits of the town. The presence of paths and ascents from the locality allows to contemplate them closely and to obtain wide panoramic views of the rural Cantabrian landscape. Their relevance is mainly local and touristic: they are part of the most identifiable image of Liérganes and are frequently mentioned in popular references of the municipality.

Centro de interpretaciónThis old 18th century flour mill is one of the most representative examples of pre-industrial architecture linked to the Miera River. Strategically located next to the famous Roman Bridge, the mill used the power of the water to grind corn, the economic engine of the area in the past. After its restoration, it has become an essential point of visit to understand the historical relationship of Liérganes with its river environment.

PARAJEThe Pozo Negro de Rubalcaba is a natural pool of the Miera River, located next to the village of Rubalcaba, in the municipality of Liérganes, Cantabria, very close to the access path from the rural core. According to the coordinates provided, it is located in the immediate surroundings of Rubalcaba, a village of Liérganes about two kilometers from the main town. It is a place of water embedded in a fluvial and riverside environment, with the appearance of a dark pool or deep backwater, in a landscape of transition between meadows, forest and mountain riverbed. What attracts the visitor is the combination of water, rocks and riparian vegetation, in addition to the more rugged character of the access, which preserves an environment little altered and closely linked to the traditional landscape of the valley. Its interest is mainly scenic and recreational, as a place for bathing or contemplation in the right season, within the minor natural heritage of Liérganes. The reference spread by the network of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain identifies it as a "natural pool" of wild path near Liérganes, which reinforces its value as a local resource of nature and leisure of low intensity. The sources consulted do not include a specific environmental protection figure or an associated legend. Its relevance depends mainly on its integration in the fluvial landscape of the Miera and its use as a singular enclave in the rural environment of Rubalcaba.
