Ponte Maceira is a small village of just over 60 inhabitants that is located in the parish of Portor, belonging to the municipality of Negreira in the province of A Coruña. The Tambre River, one of the most important rivers in Galicia, flows through here.
It highlights the great Romanesque bridge, built over the Tambre in the thirteenth century, taking advantage of the pillars of a previous Roman bridge.
