Alcalá del Júcar, where stone and history merge in every corner.

Alcalá del Júcar is located in the northwest of the province of Albacete, included within the region of La Manchuela. It was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1982. In 1986 it was awarded the third prize, after the Eiffel Tower and the Great Mosque of Istanbul, for the best artistic illumination. On May 30, 1998 in Villanueva de los Infantes, the Town Hall received the "Tourism Award 1998" from the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla La Mancha, for its work in the promotion and development of tourism.
