The Sorrosal Waterfall is a very visible waterfall in the town of Broto, in Sobrarbe, with a total fall of about 100 meters divided into two sections. The water descends through a narrow and boxed limestone wall, in a typical mountain environment of the Aragonese Pyrenees, where the relief and the rock condition the shape of the ravine. Several local descriptions speak of a very accessible waterfall that is easy to observe from the village itself, even from the bridge and the lower part of the valley. From the point of visit you can appreciate the verticality of the fall, the lower pool and the shady character of the ravine, especially striking after rains or with the spring thaw. It also highlights the via ferrata that ascends next to the fall, a well-known element in the area and that adds scenic interest for those who observe the waterfall from below. The waterfall is often associated with routes and guides to Broto and the Ordesa area, which reinforces its popularity as a short stop on a visit to the village. There is no specific protection for the waterfall in the sources consulted, although the site is located in the area of influence of Ordesa and Monte Perdido, one of the most recognized landscapes of the Aragonese Pyrenees. The best time to see it with more flow is usually in spring, when the thaw feeds the ravine; in summer access is still easy, but the jump can decrease in intensity.
