Santa Gadea del Cid, a corner with soul in the heart of Castilla y León.
Santa Gadea del Cid is one of the most impressive and best preserved medieval jewels of the province of Burgos, declared a Historic-Artistic Site. Crossing its ancient walls, the visitor feels that time stands still among emblazoned mansions and cobbled streets that still breathe the air of a strategic border town. Its silhouette is marked by the imposing Castle of the Adelantados and the Church of San Pedro, which watch over a rural environment of absolute peace from its hill.
Strolling through its arcaded square is to discover the purest essence of Castile: sobriety, limestone and a history
