Carmona defines one of the identifying features of the traditional Cantabrian village model, a reflection of an economy that prioritizes agricultural, livestock and forestry uses, to the detriment of a more comfortably ordered urban development. This locality occupies the flat space of the Quivierda river valley around an extraordinarily compact habitat, as a result of the peasants' need to enjoy as much cultivated land as possible. In this area, a mixed model has been developed for centuries, based on a semi-extensive livestock farming dominated by the Tudanca cow, and a subsistence agricultu
