Sepúlveda's "Siete Llaves" Amateur Theater Competition

Since 2012, June has become the month of theater par excellence at Sepúlveda. The Teatro Bretón serves as the venue for this event.

Festival of the Charter and Craft Fair

Every third weekend in July, the town of Sepúlveda dresses up to celebrate the Fiesta de los Fueros, bringing the atmosphere of a medieval market back to life and filling its streets with artisans, color, magic, fire, history, and festivities.

"El Diablillo" Festival

It’s 10 p.m. on any given August 23. The San Bartolomé neighborhood and the Plaza de España in Sepúlveda are pitch-black. A crowd gathers around the Church of San Bartolomé, which celebrates its feast day the following day, August 24. The boisterous crowd, mostly young people, calls for the arrival of the ritual’s main participants. It’s time for El Diablillo.

The Mass of Minerva and Corpus Christi

A tradition of great beauty dating back to medieval times is the so-called Mass of Minerva, which the Corpus Christi Brotherhood celebrates on the third Sunday of every month. For nearly five hundred years, Corpus Christi has been one of the most important Catholic Church festivals in the province of Segovia.

Bullfighting Festivals and Children's Bull Runs

The Fiestas de los Toros are held from Thursday through Monday, coinciding with the last Sunday in August. During this time, the children’s bull runs—the oldest in Spain—take place.

Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of La Peña

With the arrival of September, Sepúlveda hosts its patron saint festivities: from September 19 to October 1, the festivities are held in honor of Our Lady of La Peña, patron saint of the town and its Community of Villa y Tierra.
