1. Story about "La Pinochada".

The Pinochada (August 16) is a festival of Regional Tourist Interest that commemorates the victory of Vinuesa over Covaleda for the carving of the Virgen del Pino. Thanks to the decisive intervention of women armed with pine branches (pinochos), the image remained in the village. The ritual includes mock battles between married and unmarried brotherhoods, culminating with the women handing out "pinochazos" to the men under the slogan "from today in a year".

2. Villa de Vinuesa Coat of Arms

The Coat of Arms of the Villa, located in Vallilengua, narrates a feat from the 14th century. According to tradition, some residents of Vinuesa saved King Juan I of Castile from an attack by a wolf after falling from his horse. In gratitude, the monarch granted the coat of arms with the pine tree and the wolf, granting lands and privileges that turned the town into the prosperous "Corte de los Pinares" and headquarters of the Cabaña Real de Carreteros.

The Legend of the Bardo Bridge tells the tragic story of Fermín, a young wine cart driver who died at the hands of the violent Anselmo for defending the honor of a beautiful shepherdess. After being pushed into the river, his soul was bound to these parts, where it is said that he still drinks from the fountain on summer evenings. Today, the mystery lies beneath the waters of the reservoir that buried the bridge and the village of La Muedra.

4. Crime and punishment of the Queen of Tardajos

The Legend of the Bardo Bridge evokes a tragic romance in the heart of Soria. The young Fermín lost his life at the hands of a rival for protecting a beautiful shepherdess, leaving his soul wandering on the banks of the river. Today, the echoes of this story and the remains of the bridge rest under the waters of the Cuerda del Pozo Reservoir, emerging only in times of drought as a whisper of the past.

5. Legend of the Black Lagoon "The Land of Alvargonzález".

The Legend of Alvargonzález, immortalized by Antonio Machado in 1912, narrates a dark parricide in the region of Vinuesa. Two brothers, anxious for their inheritance, murder their father and throw his body into the Laguna Negra. After years of misery and remorse, and after the return of their Indian brother, the murderers end up falling into the same icy waters where their victim lies.
