It is the most representative image of the island of Gran Canaria. It is part of the remains of ancient materials that formed the central building of the island in which the subsequent intense erosive processes have shaped this monolith that is a landmark of the territory loaded with symbolism for the entire population of Gran Canaria. It is one of the most visited tourist points of the whole island, from it you can see much of the island given its altitude above sea level, 1,800 meters. Its importance is such that it is part of up to three figures of natural protection apart from being the heart of the Biosphere Reserve of Gran Canaria.
