Built on the ruins of a watchtower from the XII century, the Castle of Puebla de Sanabria was completed in the late S. SX with the plant that we find today. After different uses over the centuries, mainly military, the current castle houses the Governor's House and the Keep as museum centers with tourist and natural environment and historical information about the castle and the different uses of the same in the Middle Ages and Renaissance respectively, and the House of Culture of the town located in the east of the walled area, with spectacular views over the Tera River.
