San Roque Chapel

Located at the entrance of the village, this simple white building worships the patron saint of Garachico. It was originally erected in the 16th century to give thanks for the end of a plague epidemic. Every August 16 is the epicenter of one of the most popular pilgrimages of the Canary Islands, declared of National Tourist Interest, where carts and parrandas celebrate the history and faith of the municipality.
Old Pier
2

Old Pier

This corner was the most important commercial port of Tenerife until the eruption of the Trevejo volcano in 1706. Today, its calm waters flanked by lava flows invite you to swim in a unique historical setting. It retains the charm of yesteryear and serves as a reminder of the town's maritime splendor, offering one of the best views of the iconic Roque de Garachico.
Santa Ana Church

Santa Ana Church

Founded in 1520, it is the main temple of the village. Although it was severely damaged by the eruption of 1706, its reconstruction respected the elegance of the Canarian style. Its white masonry facade and its tower, visible from almost any point, stand out. Inside it houses artistic jewels such as the Cristo de la Misericordia (Christ of Mercy) and an impressive Mudejar coffered ceiling that amazes visitors.

Historic District

Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, the old town of Garachico is an open-air museum of colonial architecture. Its cobblestone streets are lined with palaces, convents and stately homes with wooden Canarian balconies. After rising from its volcanic ashes, today it is a perfect example of resilience and beauty, where the black volcanic stone contrasts with the lime of its facades.
