Alcúdia is one of the areas of Mallorca with a unique history, geography and social dynamics. It is a city where history is alive: the archaeological remains of the Roman city of Pol-lèntia are very important, the two enclosures of walls, one medieval and the other Renaissance, make Alcúdia especially attractive for its historical character. Alcúdia was founded as a town by King Jaume II in 1325, the emperor Carlos V granted it the title of Ciudad Fidelísima.
