Alcúdia Town Hall - "La Sala".
ALCÚDIA TOWN HALL - "La Sala" La Sala is the name by which the building that houses the Alcúdia Town Hall is popularly known. Built on the site formerly occupied by the houses of the University of the Villa, it is a new building inaugurated in 1929. The initial project proposal is the work of the architect Guillem Reynés Font, although it was the architect Carlos Garau who would end up building it, introducing some changes to the initial proposal due to the sudden death of the first one. Historicist building consisting of a central body in the form of a tower containing the main portal, on which there is a stately balcony and a line of windows topped by the clock tower. This tower is made of glazed tiles and has a bell tower crowned by a weathervane in the shape of a dragon. On each side of the tower there are two bodies containing on the first floor two monumental windows decorated in the Mallorcan regionalist style, which are extended on the side facades with windows of the same type. The main doorway is accessed by a central staircase. Inside the building, the plenary hall stands out, from which the interior spaces dedicated to offices are distributed.
