Casa Grande Building (Juan Fernández Cruz Museum of Folk Arts and Traditions and Municipal Archaeological Museum)

The Zuheros Archaeological Museum is a municipal heritage museum dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of archaeological artifacts found within the municipality of Zuheros, in the province of Córdoba, Andalusia. Its location in the town’s historic center, next to the castle, links it directly to the interpretation of the local past and the surroundings of the Cueva de los Murciélagos. It opened on August 14, 1992, and houses a selection of artifacts from excavations and discoveries in the municipality, with a particular emphasis on prehistoric materials. The documented collection includes tools, bones, vessels, bracelets, and fragments of pottery and ceramics dating from the Middle and Upper Paleolithic through the Neolithic, the Copper Age, and the Bronze Age. The museum thus serves an essentially archaeological and educational purpose, offering a representative sample of the rich heritage of the Cueva de los Murciélagos site and other nearby locations.
