Tower of San Miguel (XI century) · Yanguas

The Tower of San Miguel, built in the 11th century, is one of the most singular Lombard Romanesque emblems of the province. With its elegant verticality and constructive sobriety, it stands as a witness of the medieval past of Yanguas. Its silhouette, visible from different points of the valley, denotes its defensive and spiritual function. It is one of the few examples in Soria of this architectural style, characterized by the use of blind arches, lesenas and friezes that embellish its robust stone structure.
