Hermitage of San Blás · Valverde de la Vera
MULTIEXPERIENCIA
The Hermitage of San Blás, dedicated to the patron saint of Valverde de la Vera, was built between the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, and rebuilt in the early 2000s. It was originally known as the Chapel of the Holy Martyrs, in honor of San Blas, San Sebastian and San Andres. With a square floor plan, it is built with masonry walls and ashlars in the corners. The access is made by a staircase of eight steps that leads to a door with arch of half point. Inside, the 18th century Baroque image of San Blas, a symbol of faith and popular tradition, is venerated.
