Pizarro House-Museum
MuseoThe Pizarro House-Museum is a historical museum dedicated to Francisco Pizarro, located in Trujillo (Cáceres), in Calleja del Castillo, with coordinates near 39.46135, -5.88418. The official tourist information presents it as the family home of the conqueror and an exhibition space focused on his life and the figure of the Pizarro family. The building is linked to a manor house from the 15th century, according to different tourist and informative sources; therefore, its origin corresponds to the end of the Middle Ages, although the museum function is much more recent. According to these same references, the museum was established in 1992 on the occasion of the V Centenary of the Discovery of America. The visit is organized through objects, furniture, documents and recreations that review the childhood, youth and career of Pizarro, as well as the context of the conquest of America. Highlights include the façade with the Pizarro coat of arms, an interior courtyard and the two-story layout, with a historical setting on the lower floor and contents dedicated to the conquest and the Inca world on the upper floor. Due to its location in the historic center of Trujillo, the House-Museum is part of the heritage associated with the birthplace of several conquerors from Extremadura. Its main interest is historical and biographical, rather than architectural, combining the preservation of a late medieval manor house with a museography focused on the memory of Francisco Pizarro.

Trujillo Castle
CastilloTrujillo Castle is a medieval fortress located in Trujillo, province of Cáceres, Extremadura, in the highest part of the hill Cabeza de Zorro. It is a castle of Islamic origin, built largely between the ninth and tenth centuries, although with later reforms and reuses after the Christian conquest of the city in 1232. Its construction combines masonry with ashlars reused from Roman constructions, and organizes the enclosure in two main areas: the Patio de Armas and the Albacara. It preserves a system of towers and defensive walls that respond to the original military function of the fortress, visible from most of Trujillo's surroundings. Inside, there is a small chapel dedicated to San Pablo, built in the 16th century to commemorate the reconquest of Trujillo. The complex is part of the historic center of the city and is one of its most representative heritage elements, both for its defensive value and for its relationship with the historical evolution of Trujillo.

PARAJECharca La Torre is a small wetland associated with the agricultural landscape of the region of Trujillo, in the center of the province of Cáceres. The available references place it as a natural pond with marsh vegetation, in an environment of plains and traditional uses of the territory, rather than as a large reservoir or a mountain lagoon. Its interest lies in the ecological value of these seasonal or permanent water points, which concentrate life in a dry environment for much of the year. From the surroundings of the place an open landscape is observed, with sheet of water, low banks and vegetation linked to the flooding; it is a good place for the discreet observation of aquatic birds and fauna associated with wetlands. The sources consulted link it to the presence of aquatic ornithofauna of international importance, within the network of protected areas of Extremadura. The pond is also listed as a SPA in the regional information, which reinforces its interest for birdlife and the conservation of wetland habitats in the interior of Extremadura. No reliable data have been found on interpretive itineraries or specific equipment, so it should be understood as a quiet observation site, without major infrastructure. The best time to visit it is usually the season of greatest bird activity, especially in autumn, winter and spring, when water and migratory movements increase the interest of the landscape. In summer, the presence of water can be more variable depending on rainfall.

Church of San Martín de Tours
Iglesia / ErmitaThe Church of San Martín de Tours is a Catholic parish church of medieval origin located in Trujillo, Cáceres, in one of the corners of the Plaza Mayor and in the historic urban environment of the town. Although in some tourist sources it also appears as a hermitage in its foundational phase, the current typology is that of a parish church. Its origin dates back to the 14th century and the main structure was developed during the 15th and 16th centuries, with a culmination of important modifications in the second half of the 16th century, around 1564. The sources consulted describe a prolonged evolution, with an initial simpler structure and later reforms that consolidated the building that is preserved today. From the patrimonial point of view, its tower, choir and nave stand out, elements cited in studies on the building as parts worked on by Sancho de Cabrera. Its relevance in the urban configuration of the Plaza Mayor of Trujillo, where the temple occupies a very visible and symbolic position, is also noted. Overall, it is one of the most relevant historical temples of Trujillo, linked to the medieval growth and Renaissance transformation of the city, and with both religious and patrimonial interest for its integration into the historic center.

Coria Museum
MuseoThe Coria Museum is a historical-didactic museum located in Trujillo (Cáceres, Extremadura), at coordinates 39.46104, -5.88549. It occupies the former Convent of San Francisco el Real de la Puerta de Coria, today linked to the Xavier de Salas Foundation, and is dedicated to explaining the relationship between Extremadura and Ibero-America, with special attention to the voyages of discovery, the encounter with American cultures and the formation of new mestizo cultures. The building that houses it is documented as a historical complex of 16th century convent origin, reused as an exhibition space. The sources consulted present it as an adaptation of the ruins of the old convent, with a museographic organization in several rooms and didactic panels, so that its patrimonial interest lies as much in the content as in the architectural continent. Among the elements mentioned in the descriptions are the preserved cloister, the central cistern and the remains of the convent integrated into the tour. The museography is focused on the history of the Conquest of America and the figure of Francisco Pizarro, within the monumental context of Trujillo, a city closely linked to the overseas expansion of Extremadura.

Pin Tower
Torre / MurallaThe Alfiler Tower is a defensive tower integrated in the old walled system of the citadel of Trujillo, in Cáceres, and today it is also associated with the Casa Fuerte de la Cadena and the interpretation center of the history of the city. It is, therefore, a heritage resource of tower-wall typology, located in the historic center, next to the Plaza Mayor and on the northern front of the monumental complex of Trujillo. Most of its construction dates from the end of the 15th century, although some sources place it as a medieval work linked to the defense of the city and others point to a somewhat broader chronology within the late Middle Ages. It has a square or rectangular floor plan and has been described as the keep of a noble palace of the Chaves-Orellana or Chaves-Cárdenas, later reused when it lost its military function. In its present appearance, the Gothic windows with alfiz, the Gothic cresting and the brick cupola or dome, topped by a metal rod that explains the name "Alfiler" (pin), stand out. Also visible are the ceramic coats of arms of the Chaves and Orellana families, made with Talavera tiles, one of the most unique features of the monument. Its patrimonial interest lies in the fact that it summarizes the historical evolution of Trujillo: from a medieval fortification to a symbolic element of the urban landscape and an exhibition center on local history. The exact location coincides with the monumental area of the city, at coordinates 39.46107, -5.88208, in Trujillo, province of Cáceres, Extremadura.
