Street "el puerto" (the port) · San Martín de Trevejo

MULTIEXPERIENCIA

As you walk along El Puerto Street, you will see symbols engraved in the granite stone that tell the story of ancient trades. One represents the shoemakers: scissors, boots, punches... where they used to clean and repair shoes. Next to a facade there is a polished indentation, where they sharpened their tools. Further on, another relief shows two horses, their riders, a tree, the sun and the moon: it is the old post office, symbol of the exchange of mail between villages, both day and night, according to the seasons of the year. A street with history carved in stone.
