Street "city". · San Martín de Trevejo

In the street known as "Ciudad" there are numerous traditional cellars, called boigas in mañegu. First you access the boiga de afora, at a lower level than the street, where tools were kept, the yunta, the pig in a cortelha, the chickens in o galinheiru, the straw in o palheiru and the pesebreiras. Further to the back is the boiga de adentru, at a higher altitude, which is accessed by stairs. There, the wine and oil vats were stored, as well as the demijohns with the broths elaborated by the family.
