Salvador Victoria Marz (Rubielos de Mora, 1928 - Alcalá de Henares, 1994) was an avant-garde artist and Favorite Son of his hometown. He studied at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia. In 1956 he moved to Paris, where he lived for a decade and connected with the avant-garde currents. His work evolved from gestural informalism to a lyrical and poetic abstraction. He exhibited throughout Europe, joined the Juana Mordó Gallery and taught at the Complutense University of Madrid. His legacy is preserved in the Salvador Victoria Museum in Rubielos de Mora, where he shares space with artists of his generation.
