Joaquín Sánchez de Cutanda y Miralles (Rubielos de Mora, 1745 - Huesca, 1809). Bishop, canonist and professor. Born into a family of the small nobility, he studied in Zaragoza and received his doctorate in Law in Alcalá. He was a doctoral canon in Zaragoza and held high ecclesiastical and civil positions. Appointed bishop of Huesca in 1797, he promoted charitable works and reformed the episcopal palace. In 1808 he participated in the Cortes convened by Palafox in Zaragoza and joined the Junta Suprema in defense of the Kingdom. He died in 1809 in Fañanás and was buried in the cathedral of Huesca.
