MULTIEXPERIENCIA
The history of Roncal/Erronkari dates back to the Iron Age, as attested by its archaeological remains. During the Middle Ages it was a prosperous cattle raising center governed by the local nobility. In the 16th century it obtained the title of villa and consolidated itself as an administrative center, erecting monuments such as the church of San Esteban. Its steadfast resistance in the War of Independence made it a symbol of struggle. Today, Roncal is a tourist destination that proudly preserves traditions such as the festival of the almadieros and the production of Roncal cheese, framed by a natural environment of great beauty.
