Plaza del Portal and Portal de Santa Ana · Roda de Isábena

MULTIEXPERIENCIA

Roda de Isábena, in the Ribagorza region, was a strategic enclave since Roman times. In the 8th century it passed under Muslim rule and in the 10th century it became a fortified square and episcopal see. Its cathedral, declared a Historic-Artistic Monument, still presides over this medieval ensemble, today a Site of Cultural Interest. The Portal de Santa Ana, a covered passageway under a house, leads to the Plaza del Portal, from where the surrounding mountains can be admired and the grandeur of this town, one of the most beautiful in Spain, can be sensed.
