Franciscan Infirmary Hospital · Robledillo de Gata
MULTIEXPERIENCIA
The old Franciscan Hospital-Enfirmary, built in the 15th century, reflects the welfare spirit of the order. It had 16 beds and a chapel dedicated to San Antonio, providing care to the most needy of the region. Its façade is especially striking thanks to the sgraffito that decorates it, where the Franciscan coat of arms is represented intertwined with plant motifs, mythological figures and symbolic elements of great ornamental richness. This artistic ensemble makes the building an outstanding testimony to the conventual art and hospital architecture of the period.
