Built on the ruins of a watchtower from the XII century, the Castle of Puebla de Sanabria was completed at the end of the XV century with the plant that we find today. After different uses through the centuries, mainly military, the current Castle houses the Governor's House and the Keep as museum centers with tourist and natural information about the environment and historical information about the castle and its different uses in the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and the House of Culture of the town located in the eastern part of the walled enclosure, with spectacular views over the Tera River.
