Castle Combo
Combo turísticoTourist combo located in Puebla de Sanabria, Zamora, within the historic center of this town declared of Cultural Interest as a historic site in 1994. The resource is located at coordinates 42.05438, -6.63493, in the immediate surroundings of the main defensive monument of the town and in one of the most visited heritage areas of the urban core. Due to its location, the complex is associated with the Castle of Puebla de Sanabria, a castle-palace built in the last quarter of the 15th century by Rodrigo Alonso Pimentel, fourth Count of Benavente. It is a square fortress, with a central keep, a barrier with towers and a parade ground, characteristic features of late medieval military architecture. The castle is part of the historical landscape of a medieval town that preserves walls, cobbled streets and buildings of civil, military and ecclesiastical value. In the immediate surroundings you can recognize the traditional urban organization of Puebla de Sanabria, with the separation between La Villa and El Arrabal and a remarkable continuity of the walled enclosure. As a heritage tourism resource, the commercial name "Castle Combo" seems to designate a combined product or visit linked to the castle and its monumental surroundings, rather than an independent architectural piece. Therefore, its interest lies in the historical ensemble of Puebla de Sanabria and the stately fortress that presides over it.

Ungilde Mycological School
MuseoThe Mycological School of Ungilde is a museum and interpretation center dedicated to the world of fungi, located in the town of Ungilde, in the municipality of Puebla de Sanabria (Zamora), in the heart of the Sierra de la Culebra. It is located in the old schools of the village, rehabilitated by the City Council of Puebla de Sanabria within the SUSTENTA Project, funded under the POCTEP program of cross-border cooperation Spain-Portugal. It is not a historical monumental building per se, but a heritage and tourist facility installed in a reused traditional building. The municipal documentation defines it as a space to show the different habitats of the region and the ecological role of mushrooms, with a musealization based on freeze-dried species and the observation of the Sanabria landscape. Among its functions is that of a mycotourism information point, from where mycological routes are organized and visitors are guided on the collection and knowledge of mushrooms in the area. It is also mentioned in the provincial documentation as a place for processing permits for mycological exploitation of the municipal preserve of Puebla de Sanabria. Due to its location in Ungilde, about 3 km from Puebla de Sanabria along the ZA-921 road, the resource functions as an informative gateway to the natural and ethnographic mycological heritage of Sanabria, rather than as a museum of classical collection.

Church of Nuestra Señora del Azogue
Iglesia / ErmitaThe Church of Nuestra Señora del Azogue, also known as Santa María del Azogue, is a parish church in Puebla de Sanabria, in the province of Zamora, located in the upper part of the town, next to the castle and the Plaza Mayor. It is one of the most prominent heritage landmarks of the historic center, for its urban and religious role within the monumental ensemble of the town. Its origin dates back to the second half of the twelfth century, with a Romanesque main building, although the building shows later reforms that incorporate Gothic elements and other transformations of modern times. The church preserves part of the walls of the nave and two Romanesque doorways, and has also been described as a mixture of styles resulting from successive interventions. Among its documented architectural elements are the Latin cross plan, the polygonal chevet reinforced with buttresses, the transept with ribbed vaults and a corner tower. The construction is of granite masonry and slate gabled roof, common features in the historical architecture of Sanabria. The temple was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest with the category of Monument in 2022, recognizing its historical, artistic and urban value. Its integration into the town of Puebla de Sanabria, declared a Historic Site, reinforces its importance as a key piece of the religious and monumental heritage of the municipality.

Museum of Giants and Big-heads
MuseoThe Museum of Giants and Big-heads of Puebla de Sanabria is an ethnographic and festive museum dedicated to preserving and exhibiting the traditional troupe of giants and big-heads of the town, one of the signs of popular identity of the municipality. It is located in San Bernardo Street, in the historic center of Puebla de Sanabria, Zamora, in the surroundings of the historic site declared BIC. The collection has its origins in 1848, the year in which the group began linked to the Archconfraternity of Nuestra Señora de las Victorias, incorporating then figures such as El Chino, La Negra and several traditional bigheaded. The museum was officially created in 1998 to show this patrimonial group, which has been expanded with new pieces over time. Among the preserved elements are the historical giants and bigheaded of the town, used in local celebrations and festive parades. The exhibition allows us to understand the continuity of a popular tradition deeply rooted in Puebla de Sanabria, where these figures are part of the intangible heritage linked to the festivities and the collective memory of the people. Because of its content and the antiquity of some of the pieces, the museum also functions as a space for the interpretation of the Sanabria festival and its ceremonial uses. Tera River
NATURALThe Tera river is a fluvial course in the northwest of Zamora which, in the surroundings of Puebla de Sanabria, acts as the landscape and ecological axis of the valley. At this point it forms part of the upper section of the Tera, within the Aliste-Tera subzone, and is included in protected areas linked to the Natura 2000 Network; the hydrological plan places here the section from the headwaters to the exit of Puebla de Sanabria, before it flows into the Cernadilla reservoir. The Tera river basin in the province of Zamora has a total length of 139 km and a catchment area of 2,412 km², although in this resource we are particularly interested in its passage through the municipality of Sanabria. In the local landscape, the river collects the waters that descend from the mountain ranges of La Cabrera and Segundera, a mountainous area of high mountains and strong geological personality that conditions its flow and the morphology of the valley. As it passes through Puebla de Sanabria, the Tera offers stretches of riverbank, sheet of water and riverbanks of high scenic value, especially in the contact between the historic center and the valley floor, where the river visually orders the territory and provides freshness and riparian vegetation. Its natural interest is remarkable because the space associated with the banks of the Tera and tributaries is home to river habitats and species of fauna linked to clean water, such as the otter and the Iberian desman. In addition, the section is mentioned in the hydrological planning and in urban riverbed restoration actions, which confirms its environmental and functional relevance within the municipality. For the visitor, the Tera is of interest for its value as a mountain river, for the landscape continuity it creates between Sanabria and Puebla de Sanabria and for being one of the most recognizable natural elements of the environment. It is also a river with sensitive behavior to floods, which reinforces the need to observe it with respect and to understand its role in the natural dynamics of the valley.
