1

WAREHOUSE STORAGE

It was the first warehouse to be built and the last to be in operation due to its proximity to the town, as it facilitated the transport of salt, being at the foot of the salt flats and the main road of the town. It is now in ruins.
2

SALINAS DE POZA

Next to the Verde de Madera bridge and the remains of the Salinas de Poza, our route through the Diapiro begins.
3

Remains of the Ermita de la Magdalena Hermitage

The old church of the Salineros, dedicated to the Magdalena, collapsed a few years ago, but the carving of the Virgin is preserved in the parish of Poza.

RUINS OF THE MAGDALENA WAREHOUSE

It was one of the royal warehouses, where the salt workers had to take the white mineral to be counted and stored until it was decided where it was going to be distributed. It was the largest and the last to be built.

La Bureba viewpoint

This detour to the first extrivations of the Páramo de Masa, allows us to contemplate one of the best panoramic views of the Diapiro and the Bureba region. In addition, the obelisk dedicated to the griffon vulture and the figure of Felix reminds us that this moor was his favorite place in his childhood.
6

Trascastro Warehouse

At the other end of the Castellar, we came across the second warehouse used at the time of greatest splendor of the salt mines to store the salt that was manufactured in the town. Unlike the previous warehouse, it contained a stone ramp (now disappeared), which allowed the mules to reach the second floor of the building, to deposit the salt on the sides of the warehouse from above.
7

Rojas Castle

We will finish our tour in one of the most important buildings of the town, the Rojas Castle. From its keep we will contemplate the edges of the Poza diapir and the salt village.
