Aula Amigo Lobo
MuseoThe Aula Amigo Lobo is a museum or exhibition space located in Poza de la Sal, in the province of Burgos, Castilla y León, with coordinates 42.66711, -3.50149. It is dedicated to the Iberian wolf and the figure of Carlos Sanz, a popularizer and collaborator in the programs of Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, which links it directly to the naturalist tradition of the town. Because of its content, it is better framed as a museum center for the interpretation of fauna and environmental education, rather than as a historical-artistic museum. The available information does not specify a date of foundation or a construction period, so it cannot be attributed a century of origin or a specific architectural style without risk of error. Its patrimonial interest is mainly didactic and ethnographic, as it reinforces the local identity of Poza de la Sal as a place associated with nature, scientific dissemination and the memory of Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente. The locality is also part of the historical landscape of the salt flats and the traditional center of the town, although this context corresponds to the environment of the resource and not to the classroom itself.

Centro de Interpretación de las Salinas
MuseoThe Centro de Interpretación de las Reales Salinas de Poza de la Sal is a museum dedicated to explaining the history, geology and traditional exploitation of the salt mines of this town in Burgos. It is located in Poza de la Sal, in the province of Burgos, and occupies the former Administration House of the Royal Salt Pans, at C/ El Depósito, s/n, near the salt works. The building was constructed from 1786, during the reign of Charles III, so it responds to the architecture of the century of the Enlightenment. Its installation as a museum center was opened to the public in July 2003, with the aim of disseminating the phenomenon of the salt diapir, the associated industrial heritage and the life of the last salt workers. The site preserves and enhances the value of an asset closely linked to the economic history of Poza de la Sal, whose development was marked for centuries by salt production. The salt works as a whole are also protected as a Historic Site, which reinforces the cultural interest of the resource. Its contents include educational resources such as models, reconstructions, explanatory panels and an interpretive classroom, designed to offer an informative visit about the salt exploitation system and the unique landscape of the diapir.

NATURALThe Diapiro de Poza is a large geological structure of saline materials outcropping on the surface, visible as a circular depression reminiscent of a crater. In its center appears the Castelar, with outcrops of ophite and salt, and the whole reaches about 2.5 km in diameter, making it one of the most unique saline landscapes in the province of Burgos.[11 From the point of visit, the closed shape of the relief, the slopes that descend towards the basin and the environment of the old salt mines, where there are still remains of exploitation and storage linked to an activity documented since Roman times and maintained until the twentieth century, are well appreciated. The reading of the landscape is clear: an exceptional geology that has conditioned the economic history and layout of the village. The informative bibliography and geological inventories place it among the most spectacular diapirs in Spain, and the place also has heritage recognition as a Historic Site in the area of the Poza de la Sal Salt Flats. The visit is especially interesting with side light, early in the morning or late afternoon, when the circular relief and the slopes can be read more clearly. If you have time, it is advisable to combine the observation of the diapir with the interpretation center and the tour of the rehabilitated salt pans, which help to understand the relationship between geology, landscape and salt exploitation.

Espacio Medioambiental de Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente
Centro de interpretaciónThe Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Environmental Space is an interpretation center located in Poza de la Sal (Burgos), at Plaza de la Villa, 2, next to the Town Hall. It is dedicated to remember the figure, childhood and legacy of the naturalist from Poza, through an informative tour about his relationship with the environment in which he grew up and the landscape that marked his sensitivity towards nature. It is a heritage and environmental tourist resource, not a historical-artistic monument in itself. Institutional sources identify it as the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Childhood Environmental Space, integrated into the network of Museums of Castilla y León and also described as an interpretation center. Its main function is interpretative and didactic, with testimonies of family and friends that help to reconstruct the personal and environmental memory of the discloser. In the sources consulted there is no record of its own architectural chronology or a relevant construction style, so it is not appropriate to attribute to it a century of construction or stylistic ascription. Its patrimonial interest lies in its exhibition content and in its biographical link with Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, born in Poza de la Sal in 1928, a key figure in the naturalist popularization in Spain. The facility is part of the cultural offer of Poza de la Sal, a town in Burgos of notable historical and scenic value, where the story of Felix is integrated into a broader itinerary of interpretation of the territory and local memory.

Iglesia de San Cosme y San Damián
Iglesia / ErmitaThe Church of San Cosme and San Damián is the parish church of Poza de la Sal (Burgos), in Castilla y León, located at coordinates 42.66589, -3.50143. It is a Catholic temple of double dedication, identified in the sources as church or parish church of the municipality. Its main construction is Gothic from the end of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th century, although other sources place it between the end of the 14th century and the beginning of the 15th century. In any case, the building underwent later reforms, with contributions from the 16th century and the Baroque period, which explains its composite historical aspect. The temple has three naves separated by composite pillars and covered with ribbed vaults; a transept is also documented and, in some descriptions, straight headers. Among the added elements are the Escalona chapel, the work of the stonemason Pedro de Castañeda, and a high choir placed at the foot of the central nave in the Baroque period. The church also preserves a small parish museum with pieces of sacred art, formed from finds and the parish treasure. Its patrimonial relevance was recognized with the declaration of Historic-Artistic Monument in 1974, nowadays equivalent to Cultural Interest Property.

Pozas de las Salinas
PARAJEThe Pozas de las Salinas de Poza de la Sal are part of the great historical salt works of this town in Burgos, located on the eastern edge of the Páramo de Masa, where the terrain descends sharply towards the Bureba. The enclave sits on a diapir of great geological singularity, described as a depression of about 2.5 km in diameter, with evaporitic outcrops and a very characteristic morphology that explains the presence of salt on the surface. The most interesting thing for the visitor is the combination of landscape and traditional industrial heritage. Here are preserved elements linked to salt extraction, such as wells, canals, galleries, huts and warehouses, which allow us to understand how this resource was used from Roman times to the present day. The tour offers a clear reading of the link between the geology of the place and the human activity that shaped the environment. Its relevance is twofold: on the one hand, it is one of the most didactic and recognizable diapirs in Castilla y León; on the other hand, it maintains the historical value of a salt exploitation that gave identity to the town. The complex was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest as a Historic Site in 2001, which reinforces its heritage and landscape interest. For a demanding visit, the site stands out for its ability to explain, in the same space, an exceptional geological phenomenon and a cultural landscape built around salt.
