Villa Jail
MuseoLa Cárcel de la Villa de Pedraza is a historical museum housed in a medieval building located next to the gate of the walled enclosure of Pedraza, in the province of Segovia, Castilla y León. The heritage typology is that of a former prison or stately prison converted into a museum resource, which can be visited by means of a guided tour. The autonomous tourist sources place it in a building of the 13th century, while Segovia Turismo also indicates that it was rebuilt in the 16th century; therefore, it is an architecture of medieval origin with later reforms. Its location at the entrance to the town reinforces its historical function of controlling access to the walled enclosure. Among the documented heritage elements are the two-level dungeons, cells, stocks and shackles used to immobilize prisoners. There are also preserved spaces interpreted as lower dungeons for the most dangerous inmates and upper ones for minor offenders, which allows us to understand the traditional penitentiary organization of the building. The management and opening to the public is attributed to the Villa de Pedraza Foundation, which organizes guided tours and maintains the historical dissemination of the building. In the context of Pedraza, a medieval walled town declared a Historic Site, the Cárcel de la Villa is one of the most representative heritage resources of the urban complex.

Zuloaga Castle-Museum
CastilloThe Zuloaga Castle-Museum of Pedraza (Segovia) is a private medieval fortress that today functions as a visitable castle and museum linked to the painter Ignacio Zuloaga. It is located in the town of Pedraza, in the province of Segovia, and in tourist sources is associated with the name of Pedraza Castle or Zuloaga Castle and Museum. Its origin dates back to the 13th century, with a rebuilding in the 15th century; the keep dates from that period. In the 16th century the Dukes of Frías, Constables of Castile, reformed the complex and gave it the appearance it retains today. The visible architecture thus responds to a medieval and Renaissance evolution, with successive defensive and residential adaptations. The interior preserves outstanding heritage elements such as the keep, the parade ground and the cistern, as well as a coat of arms of the Herrera family on the staircase leading to the cistern. The relationship with Zuloaga began in 1926, when he acquired the castle, restored one of the towers as a workshop and converted another into an exhibition space. The museum displays works by the painter and, on occasion, pieces from the family's estate, making the complex a unique example of a historic castle reused as a cultural space. The visit allows visitors to understand both the original military function of the fortress and its later artistic and patrimonial value.

San Juan Bautista Church
Iglesia / ErmitaThe Church of San Juan Bautista is a parish church in Pedraza, in the province of Segovia, located in the Plaza Mayor of the historic center of the town. It is one of the most representative temples of the local religious heritage and the only one of the ancient temples of Pedraza that remains open for worship. The heritage file identifies it as a parish church, although in some tourist inventories it appears generically as a church or hermitage. Its origin is Romanesque and the construction is located between the XII and XIII centuries; other sources extend its foundation to the XI century, although the most reiterated dating in patrimonial repertoires is the Romanesque medieval one. Of the primitive building the tower and the apse, visible from the outside, are especially conserved, while the interior presents later reforms that have altered its original aspect. The temple shows a strong mixture of styles due to the numerous historical transformations, with outstanding reforms in the Baroque period and a later interior reconfiguration. The available documentation cites a floor plan with three naves and the preservation of a Romanesque baptismal font from the 13th century as a notable piece of liturgical furnishings. In the context of Pedraza, a medieval town declared a Monumental Site, the church is part of the historic landscape of the Plaza Mayor and retains an active religious role, as well as a heritage role. Its value lies both in the remaining Romanesque masonry and in the historical reading of the reforms that reflect the evolution of the temple over the centuries.

MIRADORThe viewpoint of La Velilla is a panoramic point of Pedraza, in the province of Segovia, integrated in the landscape of the Tierra de Pedraza. The route itself associated with the viewpoint is signposted as a linear itinerary of 2.8 km, of medium difficulty, designed to be covered on foot or by bicycle in about 2 hours. The main interest of the resource is scenic: from this environment overlooks the Segovian mountain range, a territory of rugged terrain, with valleys carved in limestone terrain and a mosaic of junipers and junipers characteristic of the municipality. Pedraza also sits on a stony promontory surrounded by the Vadillo and San Miguel streams, which reinforces the visual value of the viewpoint as a natural balcony over the town and its immediate surroundings. The resource is of interest both for its reading of the landscape and for its connection with the medieval town of Pedraza, declared a Monumental Site, and for being part of the nature offer of the area. The available description explicitly defines it as a natural viewpoint overlooking the landscape of the Tierra de Pedraza, but the sources consulted do not provide additional dimensions or equipment.
