Nuevo Baztán, the Illustrated Village of Madrid

The town of Nuevo Baztán is located southeast of the Community of Madrid, and was founded in the early eighteenth century by Juan de Goyeneche y Gastón as an agricultural and manufacturing center of products valued at the time as glass and fabrics. It was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1941 and an Asset of Cultural Interest in 2000.

The architectural complex was designed outwardly for its inhabitants to interact with each other, where a baroque palace presided over a stately core surrounded by three squares, among which the Plaza de las Fiestas, also known as Plaza de Toros, because
