Church of Nuestra Señora de la Muela · Monteagudo de las Vicarías
MULTIEXPERIENCIA
The church of Nuestra Señora de la Muela, built in 1470, is a solid Gothic temple with a single nave with four bays and beautiful vaults. Its façade features a gallery of blind arches reminiscent of the Aragonese Mudejar style. Upon entering, an inscription in Latin invites us to introspection. A magnificent Renaissance altarpiece from 1633 presides over the temple. Also outstanding are the altarpiece of Santiago, a Renaissance pulpit, the Christ of the Transition and a Virgin on a throne. Its architecture and decoration reflect the devotion and art of Lower Aragon in the transition between the XV and XVII centuries.
