Nuestra Señora de la Bienvenida Hermitage · Monteagudo de las Vicarías
MULTIEXPERIENCIA
Built between 1610 and 1611, the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Bienvenida is a temple of a single nave with a square main chapel, slightly narrower. Its architecture of masonry, with ashlar masonry in openings and frames, is covered with a barrel vault with lunettes reinforced by transverse arches. The titular image, of Gothic style and previous to the building, confirms the existence of a previous sanctuary in the same place. Its constructive sobriety contrasts with the historical and spiritual importance that it preserves for the neighbors of Monteagudo de las Vicarías.
