MULTIEXPERIENCIA

The castle of Monteagudo de las Vicarías, with a pentagonal floor plan, stands at the end of the hill that crowns this fortified town. Its keep, with an octagonal floor plan, stands out among the defensive elements. The interior courtyard has been reconstructed, and its straight windows date from the 16th century. Most of the complex was built by Juan Hurtado de Mendoza, whose son left his mark with the noble coat of arms that can still be seen over the gateway leading from the village. It is one of the most unique fortresses in the province of Soria.
