Santo Cristo Square · Molinaseca
MULTIEXPERIENCIA
The Plaza del Santo Cristo marks the end of the route along the Calle Real and the Camino de Santiago as it passes through Molinaseca. There stands the Crucero del Santo Cristo, a symbol of St. James mentioned in documents dating back to 1202. Next to it, the Monument to the Pilgrim and the monolith of twinning with the Japanese route of the 88 temples of Shikoku, seal the strong bond between cultures united by the pilgrimage. This monolith, with inscriptions in Spanish and Japanese, commemorates the twinning of 2009. Nearby, the Bosque del Nacimiento offers a final haven of peace and nature.
