Sombrerico Cove
PARAJECala del Sombrerico is a coastal spot in Mojácar, on the eastern coast of Almería, located in a stretch of virgin coastline of about 1,000 meters long and 60 meters wide approximately. It is identified in the local documentation as a beach / cove of special protection, with a landscape of alternating volcanic rock and medium-grained sand, grayish color. Its location in the coordinates provided places it in the coastal front mojacarense associated with the natural environment of the town. What is most striking is its untransformed character: it has no equipment and maintains a very natural image, with pebbles and rocky outcrops mixed with sand and generally calm waters. This contrast between volcanic substrate, open beach and undeveloped environment explains its scenic interest and makes it attractive for those looking for a quieter coastline and primary aspect. In the municipal information it is highlighted as a space of special protection, with compatible use with naturism and with express recommendations of environmental respect. It is also indicated that it is not allowed to camp or light fires, and that it is advisable to maintain a very careful behavior with the environment, precisely because it is intended to preserve its natural beauty and landscape. For its scenic value and for preserving a coastal stretch in a very natural state, the Cala del Sombrerico is one of the most unique coastal enclaves of Mojácar. It is of interest both to visitors looking for bathing and scenery and to those who wish to understand the model of protected coastline and low intervention that still survives in some parts of the municipality.

PARAJECala Granatilla is a small coastal spot in the municipality of Mojácar, in the southwestern sector of the municipality and very close to the border with Carboneras. It is located at the mouth of the Granatilla wadi, an enclave of virgin coast outside the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, although attached to its visual and scenic scope. In the sources consulted it is described as a cove of sand and gravel, with stretches of volcanic rock in the immediate surroundings. The most characteristic of the place is the alternation of materials and the presence of normally calm and transparent waters, which makes it interesting both for the landscape and for the observation of the Mediterranean coast of Almería. Its length has been quoted at around 100 meters in a detailed local description, while other municipal references extend it to about 500 meters for the whole beach and its adjacent sectors. Its main value lies in its relatively natural state, with no front-line services or urbanization, and in the respectful nature use associated with this stretch of coastline. The connection between wadi, beach and small neighboring coves offers a very clear reading of the coastal modeling and the dynamics of sedimentary contributions, especially visible after episodes of rain. For the demanding visitor, it is interesting for its character of virgin cove, the open landscape and the sensation of isolation, with simple but not immediate access from the road between Mojácar and Carboneras. The municipal information also presents it as a protected beach for the practice of naturism and with conservation rules that limit uses such as bonfires or the presence of animals.

La Canana House Museum
MuseoThe Casa Museo La Canana is an ethnographic museum located in the historic center of Mojacar (Almeria), at Esteve Street No. 6, at the coordinates indicated. It is dedicated to recreate a traditional Mojácar house from the first half of the twentieth century, with a setting based on authentic objects of the time and the reconstruction of domestic and work spaces typical of a rural house in the village. The municipal tourist documentation describes the property as a house restored and recreated with the utmost respect for the materials and the original structure, preserving the appearance of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Mojácar's own website states that the name comes from the nickname of its former owner, known as "La Canana", linked to the sale of tobacco and basic necessities. Among the most outstanding elements are the recreation of domestic rooms, the exhibition of antique furniture and utensils and an immersive museography that allows visitors to understand the daily life in Mojácar in that period. Provincial tourism sources also indicate that the space occupies more than 200 m² and was inaugurated as a museum resource in 2018. By its nature, this resource is not a monumental historical monument, but a heritage interpretation museum house focused on the domestic and ethnographic memory of Mojácar, closely linked to the material culture and traditional ways of life of the municipality.

Santa Maria Church
Iglesia / ErmitaThe Church of Santa Maria de Mojacar is a parish church with the character of a fortress, located in the upper part of the historic center of Mojacar, in the province of Almeria, next to the Plaza de la Iglesia. The place coincides with the indicated coordinates and is one of the most recognizable heritage landmarks of the municipality. It was declared of Cultural Interest as a Monument, and local sources also present it as a Monument of Cultural Interest. It was built around 1560, at the end of the 16th century, under the direction of the master builder Sebastián Segura. The consulted sources describe it as a Renaissance style building, erected on the site of the old main mosque, at a time of transition between the Islamic and Christian Mojácar. The temple stands out for its defensive condition, typical of a church-fortress built for a context of coastal insecurity. It has masonry walls with large ashlars, few openings and a square tower, features that reinforce its austere and militarized appearance. Inside, the heritage guides cite a single nave, coffered ceiling or wooden frame and an altar of the sixteenth century. Among the documented elements, the two doorways, the tower restored in contemporary times and the presence of devotional images linked to local patron saints, such as the Virgin of the Rosary and Saint Augustine, stand out. The ensemble summarizes the historical, religious and defensive value of this temple in the urban and symbolic development of Mojácar.

PARAJEMacenas Beach is a coastal spot in the municipality of Mojacar, on the coast of Almeria, located next to the environment of the old defense tower of Macenas. It is a beach of gray or dark sand, medium grain, with about 500-600 meters long and about 40-50 meters wide according to municipal and tourist descriptions consulted. Its main interest is landscape: it combines the open sea front with the low coastal relief and the passage to coves and less urbanized stretches of the coast of Mojácar. The beach is also associated with the tower of Macenas, built in the eighteenth century during the reign of Charles III as a defensive element of the Almeria coastline. For the visitor, it offers a quiet bathing area with a more peaceful atmosphere than other beaches of the municipality, with generally clean waters and sandy bottom. It is also a useful access point for touring the nearby coastal stretch and appreciate the transition between beach, wadi and rocky coast in one of the most recognizable sectors of the Levante Almeriense. Its local relevance is not only recreational: it is part of the historical and coastal image of Mojácar, and the tower of Macenas acts as a heritage and visual landmark of the place.
