The Puerto de Linares Lookout is a scenic viewpoint located along the A-1701 highway, near the Puerto de Linares pass, within the municipal boundaries of Linares de Mora. It sits at an elevation of about 1,650 meters, deep within the Sierra de Gúdar, and offers one of the most distinctive panoramic views of the area. It is a roadside viewpoint, situated on an elevated, open stretch of the mountain pass. From the viewpoint, visitors enjoy a spectacular view of Linares de Mora, with the town, its castle, and some of its chapels standing out against the landscape. The surroundings are dominated by pine forests, mountains, and wide valleys—features characteristic of the Sierra de Gúdar. It is located approximately 3.5 km from the town center, in the direction of Mosqueruela. It is an especially good spot for a photo stop, as it allows you to view the town from an elevated perspective that differs from the view seen from the town center itself. Furthermore, the spot has a special charm at dusk. Linares de Mora is recognized as a Starlight Tourist Destination, so the area around the pass offers excellent conditions for stargazing thanks to minimal light pollution. In short, the Mirador del Puerto de Linares is a high-altitude natural viewpoint that combines panoramic views of Linares de Mora, mountain scenery, and stargazing. It’s a particularly interesting stop for getting a complete view of the town and understanding its location within the Sierra de Gúdar.
