Enmedio Arch or Portalico · Linares de Mora

The Portalico occupied an intermediate position within the old system of access points to Linares de Mora. This is where its name, “Portal de Enmedio,” comes from. It served as one of the entry and exit points to the area protected by the city wall. The Portal de Enmedio, or Portalico, is a small but significant example of Linares de Mora’s medieval defensive architecture: an ancient gate in the city wall that is now fully integrated into the streets and homes of the historic district.
