Plaza Mayor · La Alberca

The Plaza Mayor of La Alberca is an emblematic rectangular enclosure that preserves, to a large extent, its original layout. Surrounded by arcades supported by wooden arches or stone columns, it houses traditional buildings of two to four floors. This harmonious combination of popular architecture gives it a unique charm. In its center are located a fountain and an eighteenth-century cross, moved from the Tablado in 1940. This space, the heart of the village, is witness to the daily life and the main celebrations of one of the most beautiful villages of the Sierra de Francia.
