Construction of the Juan de Palafox Chapel · El Burgo de Osma

Joaquín de Eleta promoted the construction of the sumptuous Chapel of Juan de Palafox in the Cathedral of El Burgo de Osma, which prompted the need to expand the town. This project marked the beginning of an "architectural revolution" that laid the foundations of modern El Burgo de Osma. This transformation is also interpreted as a response to the confrontation with the city of Soria, which threatened to take over the episcopal see.
