El Mirador del Mentidero is a picturesque street-viewpoint that gives its name to the lower quarter of Capileira. Along its route, lined by railings, it offers spectacular views of the Poqueira Ravine, with the villages of Bubión and Pampaneira framed by the peaks of the Sierra Nevada. On clear days, you can even make out the African coast. This street also holds a legendary history: here lived the painter protagonist of the legend of the Tajo del Diablo, adding a touch of mystery to this unique corner of the Alpujarra.
