MULTIEXPERIENCIA

The urban wall of Bonilla de la Sierra, in the province of Avila, dates back to the 12th century. It acquired relevance in the 14th century, when the town passed into the hands of the bishops of Avila, reflecting their influence in the coats of arms carved in the stone. The main entrance is the Puerta de la Villa, a 15th century Gothic pointed arch that still welcomes visitors. Although today only scattered vestiges remain around the town center, the complex has been protected as an Asset of Cultural Interest since 1949 and was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1983.
