Sant Cristòfol Church · Beget

MULTIEXPERIENCIA

The church of San Cristobal, the main emblem of Beget, is a 12th century Romanesque temple with a Latin cross plan and semicircular apse. Its bell tower, almost square, is attached to the south side, next to the transept. Inside is the famous Majesty of Beget, an impressive polychrome Romanesque carving of Christ in Majesty, about two meters high, considered one of the masterpieces of Catalan Romanesque sculpture. This artistic ensemble gives the temple a great historical and spiritual value.
