Church of San Blas (XIII century) · Anento

MULTIEXPERIENCIA

The church of San Blas, built in the 13th century, is a sober Romanesque temple with a single rectangular nave divided into nine bays by pointed diaphragm arches resting on simple pilasters. The building, made of masonry with ashlars in openings and arches, is covered by a gabled roof with tiles directly over the vault. Its sacristy, located on the gospel side, stands out: a quadrangular room with a pointed barrel vault, reinforced by an intermediate sash arch resting on corbels. Its austere beauty reflects the purest medieval architecture.
