Castle and keep · Anento
MULTIEXPERIENCIA
Raised on a mound of reddish earth, the medieval castle of Anento is documented as early as 1357, when it resisted a Castilian attack. Its eastern flank, still standing, has 30 meters of wall with battlements, arrow slits and two twin towers with pointed vaults. A natural moat protects it and diverts rainwater. The main gate, semicircular, stood on a drawbridge. Although partially demolished, it is one of the most unique minor castles of Aragon, probably from the 14th century.
