Aínsa is a village located in the Sobrarbe region and corresponds to the ancient Kingdom or County of the same name, which arose more than a millennium ago, in the north of the province of Huesca.
In its beginnings, it consisted of a castle, much smaller than the current one and separated from the village, and a walled enclosure formed by the streets and the church of San Salvador (now disappeared) and the church of Santa Maria, of which three gates of its layout are preserved, dating from the eleventh or twelfth centuries. It was later extended between the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries:

Municipal parking next to the castle with about 40 marked spaces for motorhomes on the left side of the enclosure. Paved gravel floor, night lighting and good views. Free emptying of gray and black water; drinking water chargeable (3 € / 50 l). Public toilets a few meters away, next to the castle gate. Village services (stores, pharmacy, gas station) at ~400 m. Camping prohibited: no awnings, tables or chairs outside the vehicle.
