This procession turns the streets of Ampudia into another new Jerusalem more than two thousand years later. During the Stations of the Cross, the Christ of the Good Death, patron saint of the Penitential Brotherhood of Ampudia, processes through the streets.

The "Function of the Descent from the Cross" is the representation of the moment in which Christ is taken down from the Cross and placed in the Sepulcher. In the darkness of our Collegiate Church, some brothers, following the voice of the narrator, represent the event that took place on Mount Calvary. This representation has its origin in the Franciscan presence in our town.

Once the "Function of the Descent from the Cross" is over, the people of Ampudia, from the profound experience of the death of Christ, represent the moment of the transfer of the Body of the Lord to the Sepulcher. The following processions take place: Jesus Nazarene, Christ of the Good Death, the Calvary, Christ Crucified, the Pietà, Children's Crucifix, the Naked Cross, the Holy Sepulcher and the Sorrowful Virgin.
