Pastoradas and Pastorets

Pastoradas are performances in which shepherds come to adore the Child, with dialogue, songs and offerings, traditionally linked to the Midnight Mass in villages of León and other areas of the north.

In Catalonia, Els Pastorets are popular theatre plays that humorously recount the adventures of the shepherds on their way to Bethlehem. In many villages, groups of amateurs perform them every year.
