On the afternoon of 5 January, the Three Kings arrive in the villages and parade through their streets with pages, floats and music, throwing sweets to the children.
That night children leave their shoes out and, the next morning, Three Kings' Day, presents appear. In small villages the parade is a celebration for everyone, often winding through stone houses and illuminated squares.
