Morella Castle, designated a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC), is an impressive fortress that overlooks the entire region from its height of 1,072 meters. It was built to take advantage of the mountain’s natural contours and has witnessed battles, conquests, and coronations over the centuries. From its parade ground, visitors can enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the inland region of the Valencian Community.

Price:
General – 5 euros.
Reduced – 4 euros (seniors over 65, children ages 6–16, students under 25 with a student ID, Carnet Jove holders, people with disabilities, and large families).
Groups – 3.5 euros (groups of 25 or more).
Free admission for children under 6 accompanied by an adult, accredited teachers, residents of the Els Ports region (with valid ID), and residents of Picassent (Valencia), as it is a sister city tMorella.

On days with an orange or red weather alert, the castle will be closed. We recommend always checking the AEMET website.
Pet-friendly site. Dogs are allowed, provided they are on a leash. Potentially dangerous dogs must wear a muzzle.
Advance tickets do not grant priority access. Visitors who have purchased tickets online must wait their turn to enter.
The grounds are large; walking through the military fortress to the parade ground and back out can take about an hour. You ascend via a set of stairs that wind around the mountain, allowing you to explore the various areas used for military purposes.

People in wheelchairs and those with baby strollers cannot tour the grounds. There are stairs at the start, a dirt path during the tour, and a flight of over 90 steps leading up to the parade ground. Visitors with limited mobility should assess the route based on their own abilities.
